$44 million won on November 9th 2016 with Powerball add-on

On the draw of November 9th 2016, one lucky ticket holder from Dairy Flat north of Auckland won what is still considered the largest prize won by a single ticket holder. This draw also holds the record for the largest number of tickets sold in a single New Zealand Powerball draw.

$38 million won on November 22nd 2017 with Powerball add-on

On the draw of November 22nd 2017, two lucky ticket holders split the second-largest jackpot ever won in New Zealand lottery history - $38 million. One of the tickets was bought at Fresh Choice supermarket in Greytown, while the other was sold at the New World store in Warkworth. The ticket holders received a whopping $19 million each.

$36 million won on June 24th 2009 with Powerball add-on
